THE MURDER CASE OF A LADY SOLVED AND THE ACCUSED (SON OF THE DECEASED) ARRESTED WITHIN TWO HOURS OF REGISTERING THE CASE., THE ACCUSED KILLED HIS MOTHER AS SHE DID NOT ACCEDE TO HIS PROPOSAL TO SELL THE HOUSE OF SHORA KOTHI, GHANTAGHAR, DELHI., WEAPON OF OFFENCE & BLOOD STAINED CLOTHES SEIZED.

With the arrest of accused Deepak, the team of PS Subzi Mandi has solved the murder case of a lady by her own son within two hours of reporting the crime. On 25.07.2023 at 09:48 AM, a PCR call was received at PS Subzi Mandi that the son has murdered his mother at Shora Kothi, Ghantaghar Subzi Mandi, Delhi. The PCR call was made by the daughter of the deceased.

Ram Manohar, SHO/PS Subzi Mandi along with ASI Sunderpal, HC Kaptan, Ct Nitin, W/Ct Priyanka and other staff of PS Subzi Mandi immediately reached the spot i.e. Shora Kothi, Ghantaghar, Subzi Mandi wherein Ms Charu, Ms Heena and others were present and the dead body of their mother Smt. Indu was lying on the floor of one of the bedrooms.
Smt. Charu reported that her brother Deepak had killed her mother and he (Deepak) has just fled away while she was making PCR call. Hence, to prevent the escape of accused Deepak, all the streets leading to the place of occurrence were cordoned off by deploying staff at the exit points.
Local enquiries revealed that the deceased lady was residing with her son, Deepak who used to beat her almost daily. The accused Deepak is a habitual drunkard and unemployed.
Spot inspection revealed that the deceased had multiple injuries on the face, neck, and hand. It was also revealed that the deceased body was dragged from one room to the other. The Crime Team and FSL team was called at the spot and blood-stained clothes were seized from the spot.
The complainant Ms. Charu revealed that her brother Deepak was unemployed, he used to consume alcohol daily and is of a very aggressive nature. Deepak had got married a few years ago but his wife deserted him after a few months of marriage as he used to beat her mercilessly. He felt pleasure in beating the family members and never listened to anything against his wish. He also used to beat his elder brother, Mohit also who died a few years ago.
(SUBHEAD)Deepak has no source of income but used to live lavishly. He sold a house at the beginning of this year which was in the name of their mother and spent the money on purchasing a huge screen TV and car though he hardly drove the car. Now, he intended to sell the house of Shora Kothi, Ghantaghar also to meet his expenses of drinking and to shift to another house and was pressurising their mother for the same but she was not ready to sell the house.
Due to the refusal of their mother, Deepak was beating their mother regularly and on the night of 24.07.2023 when the complainant Ms. Charu made a video call to her brother Deepak she found that her mother was having injuries on her nose and mouth and blood was coming out. Deepak was in an aggressive mood and their mother was fearing for her safety.
Later, at about 01:30 AM, the complainant again made a video call to her brother Deepak and saw that her mother was lying unconscious on the floor. She informed her younger sister and other relatives and rushed to her mother's house in the morning where she found that her mother was murdered by Deepak. When the complainant confronted Deepak about the circumstances of the death of their mother he kept saying that she had fallen and sustained injury and tried to mislead them. As she told him that she is going to call the Police, he ran away.
Local enquiries revealed that nobody saw him reaching the main road of Ghantaghar and it was concluded that he must be hiding in some nearby building. All the exit points were already cordoned off hence, to search the accused, a team led by Inspr. Ram Manohar, SHO/PS Subzi Mandi comprising of Inspr. Rahul Kumar, (Inspr. L&O), HC Kaptan, HC Tejbir, HC Pramod Bansal, Ct. Bhoopender was constituted, under the guidance of Sh. Vijay Kumar Rastogi ACP Sadar Bazar and overall supervision of the undersigned.
The police team conducted House to House search in Shora Kothi area and finally managed to apprehend the accused from one of the buildings where he was hiding by covering himself with a plastic katta under an unused cot beneath the stairs of the building. He was immediately taken to Hindu Rao Hospital for a medical examination.
The case vide FIR No. 471/23 u/s 302 IPC has been registered at PS Subzi Mandi regarding the said incident and the accused Deepak, age-29 years has been arrested.
INTERROGATION: Mr. Sagar Singh Kalsi, IPS, DCP, North Distt., said, the accused disclosed that he studied up to 12th class in a Gurukul at Haridwar but developed the habit of drinking at an early age. Since childhood, he had an aggressive nature and used to beat his elder brother, Mohit who later died. He suffered from T.B. and gradually got addicted to drinking. He used to remain under the influence of alcohol all the time. A few months back he had sold one house which was in the name of his mother and purchased a Car and TV and spent money on liquor. He was planning to sell the house of Shora Kothi also as there was some water-related issue and also because he needed money for purchasing liquor. However, his mother was not ready which made him angry.
He used to regularly beat his mother and most of the time she fainted after beating but she never complained to the police. A day prior to the incident when he was beating his mother she jumped on the first floor of the building for her safety.
On the night of 24.07.2023 at about 08:30 PM, when his sister Charu was talking to their mother, his mother told Charu that Deepak had beaten her badly causing injury to her mouth and nose and blood was coming out and feared that he may kill her. He further disclosed that both of them were in the same bedroom and his mother was saying to switch off the air conditioner but he wanted to keep it on. Infuriated by the telephonic call in which his mother complained to Charu, he started beating her with a sharp-edged danda causing multiple injuries on her head, face, neck and hand due to which she became unconscious.
He dragged her to another room and left her on the floor and called his sister. When his sister, Charu made a video call and insisted on seeing their mother, he said that she was lying unconscious and shown on the video call. In the past also his mother used to become unconscious after his beating hence his sister didn't think that the mother had died but he knew that she was no more. He knew that his elder sister Charu, residing at Nangloi, will not come at night hence, he thought to sleep for a few hours and to run away in the morning. Hence, leaving his mother dead in the other room, he went into his adjacent bedroom and slept. As he was drunk, he could not wake up in the morning and got up only when both his sisters came knocking at the door.
He tried his best to mislead his sisters regarding the circumstances of their mother's death however, as his sister Charu had a screenshot of the video chat and told that she was going to call the Police, he ran away and hid in a building in Shora Kothi as he felt that he can be caught by the police if he went on the main road.
DETAIL OF ACCUSED PERSON: Deepak, r/o Shora Kothi, Ghantaghar, Subzi Mandi, Delhi, age-29 years. (His previous antecedents are being verified).
RECOVERY: The weapon of offence, a Blood-Stained sharp-edged Danda. . Blood Stained clothes worn by the accused at the time of the offence.
His thorough medical examination has also been conducted for gathering evidence.Further investigation is going on.
