Place of incident- Near Nangloi Metro Station .
Investigation has started.Several teams have been constituted to identify the perpetrators and initiate legal action against them. Now the situation is normal and law and order maintained.
He said on the occasion of Moharram on Saturay at around 5.45 Pm, some Tazia processions entered the area of PS Nangloi on main Rohtak Road and tried to deviate the route mutually decided upon in the coordination meeting with Taziadaran in preparation for Muharram.
Efforts were made to convince them to stick to pre-decided route and proceed to the designated burials. While most of them cooperated, a few miscreants became unruly and started instigating public and resorted to stone pelting.
To ensure the safety and security of passers-by on theroad, which included women, children and motorists, the unruly mob was got dispersed by police with mild use of force, and order was restored immediately. The Tazia processions were subsequently peacefully conducted in the area as per customs and religious practices.
