PRIYANKA DHAMIJA CROWNED “TEEJ QUEEN”

The Women Wing of the All-India Arora Khatri Punjabi community, led by president Mamta Jasuja, celebrated the Teej festival with great enthusiasm at Arorvansh Dharamshala here. Priyanka Dhamija was crowned as Teej Queen.

The highlights of the programme were henna application, swing, selfie point, glimpses of Punjabi culture etc. In Punjabi dress which is the theme of Teej festival, women added beauty to the festival. The pandal was decorated by Daya Dhamija. The Quiz related to Teej and Indian culture was conducted by Pooja Bhateja and Geeta Jasuja.

Tambola was played by Sheenam Kataria and Shalini Kataria. The children's colourfulitems mesmerised the audience.Folk dance Giddha presented by Meenu Gaba and Jago brought out by Nisha Chawla rocked the whole hall.

President Mamta Jasuja welcomed the city's first lady Rosy Thatai, entrepreneur Surekha Chhabra and gynaecologist Dr. Latika Nagpal and other guests. Dr. Bindiya Narang spoke about the importance of Teej. Sheenam Kataria highlighted the activities of the Women Wing. Nikita Chawla supported Shilpa Gaba in conducting the stage.

Parent organisation Abohar area president Naresh Khurana appreciated the efforts made by the Women Wing.
