A team of AATS succeeded to arrest 08 accused persons i.e. auto lifters, buyers/sellers, suppliers and receiver from Delhi NCR, UP and Punjab after continuous and dedicated operation of more than one month and seized 10 luxury cars and 01 Tata truck from Chandigarh, Amritsar, Meerut, Bulandshahar, U.P. and Delhi.
The accused identified as Abhishek Goyal @ Monu, S/o Hari Chand Goyal, R/o Sector- 63, Chandigarh age- 32 Yrs and wasd previously involved in three cases: FIR No. 66/22 U/S 186/279/336/379/420/468/471 IPC PS Sector-13/17 Panipat, Haryana,, FIR No. 158/22 U/S 411/473 IPC PS East Sector-26,, FIR No. 185/22 U/S 379/411/473 IPC PS Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib
The accused Sahil Arora, S/o Joginder Arora, R/o J P Nagar, Suler, Patiala, Punjab, Age- 34 Yrs, Ashok Kumar, S/o Balbir Singh, R/o Near bada Rai, Dharam Nagar, Snaur, Patiala (Punjab) age- 45 yrs
Accused Sajid, s/o Zakir, R/o Village- Bhamra, PS Gulaothi, Distt. Bulandsahar, UP Age- 24 Yrs is previously involved in 18 cases, registered in Delhi, UP and Madhya Pradesh.
Accused Intzar Ahmed @ Javed S/o Aas Mohammad, R/o Near Masjid, Madina Colony, Lisadi road, Meerut, UP Age-44 Yrs is previously involved in 10 cases registered in Delhi, UP and Madhya Pradesh.
7. Bhaiya Lal S/o Jankua Ahirwal, r/o Uttam Nagar, Delhi, age-29 yrs.
8. Shailender Ahirwar S/o Shyam Lal, r/o Vill.- Shaura, Distt.- Chatarpur, M.P., age- 23 yrs.
RECOVERY: 10 stolen luxury cars including two Toyota Innova, two Hyundai Creta, one Kia Seltos, one Maruti Brezza, one Honda City, two Hyundai i-20 & one Hyundai Santro and 1 stolen Tata truck
Keeping in view of the directions of senior officers, the crime trends of stealing and disposal of high end cars was being monitored and analyzed by team AATS/South West. Accordingly, after hectic analysis of CCTV footages of each such case and technical & human intelligence, the team succeeded to get the inputs of gangs involved in stealing, supplying and disposal of the high end stolen cars from the South West District as well as from other Districts.
The painstaking efforts bore the result and a team led by Insp. Gautam Malik, I/C AATS/South West District comprising of SI Sanjeev Baliyan, SI Suresh Dhaka, ASI Vinod Kumar, ASI Hemant Kumar, ASI Praveen Kumar, ASI Jaipal, HC Hariom, HC Dharmender, HC Dalbir, HC Ravinder, HC Raghmendra, HC Mohit and HC Naresh, under the close supervision of Sh. Devendra Kumar Singh, ACP/Operations/South West conducted various raids in various places in Punjab/Utter Pradesh/Haryana & Delhi NCR spanning over one month and recovered following stolen vehicles:

INTERROGATION AND MODUS OPERANDI:
Mr. Manoj C., IPS, DCP, South West, said, on sustained interrogation, the accused Balvinder @ Binda disclosed that he purchases stolen high end cars from one Sajid @ Rijwan and sells its parts to customers in Mayapuri after cutting it with the help of Bhaya Lal and Shailender. Accused Abhishek Goyal @ Monu, a resident of Chandigarh runs a shop of car spare parts in name of Ambey Motors at Sector-45 A, Chandigarh and started to purchase stolen cars since 2017 and disclosed to have dismantled more than 150 high end cars since last year at various go-downs near Zirakpur, Punjab.
He purchases the stolen cars from prominent auto-lifter Harpreet @ Smarty, r/o Vikaspuri, Delhi and one Sukhdev @ Sappi, r/o Amritsar and after dismantlong he sells the parts to the customers all over Punjab.
Accused Abhishek @ Monu also disclosed to purchase and sale of some stolen cars from/to the same person, Sajid, r/o Bulandshahar, as per the requirement and deal. From the parking area of the society of accused Abhishek, 03 stolen cars were recovered on his instance.
Recently, a go-down of accused Ahbishek @ Monu was busted by the Crime Branch, Delhi and 11 engine (connected) were recovered from it, but Abhishek was continuously evading himself and could not be arrested and was running wanted in 11 cases of MV theft. Accused Sahil Arora and Ashok came in contact of Abhishek through Harpreet @ Smarty, who supplies the stolen cars for Smarty. They were also found in possession of two stolen cars.
Accused Sazid disclosed that first he was involved in dismantling of stolen tata & tempos and thereafter started stealing vehicles. But after arrest in UP, he started to steal the high end cars & tata tempos from Delhi and also supplied the stolen cars. He disclosed to receive the cars from one prominent thief Intzar @ Javed, r/o Meerut, UP & supplies to accused Balvinder @ Binda and Abhishek @ Monu and organized the crime syndicate.
Investigation regarding their associates is in progress. Efforts are going on to arrest the remaining accused and bust the entire nexus including the receivers, auto lifters, thieves and drivers who carry the stolen cars to safer/parking places for further disposal.
