RACKET FORGES UNIVERSITY DEGREES, MARK SHEETS, BUSTED , TWO ARRESTED

The team of WR-II/Crime Branch has arrested two accused persons namely (1) Shiv Shankar S/o Sh. Brijmohan R/o Bapa Nagar, Karol Bagh, Delhi-110062 Age 43 years and (2) Sunil Mishra S/o Sh. Mata Prasad Mishra R/o Sultanpuri, Delhi, Age 39 years from Paschim Vihar, Delhi.

They were involved in a racket which used to prepare forged and fake degrees, mark sheets, etc. of various universities including Mewar University- Rajasthan, MUIT University-Noida, JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University-Rajasthan, Vinayak Missions University-Salem, MNS ITI-Haryana, Himalayan Garhwal University, Kalinga University etc. 

On 24/08/2023, a secret information was received to ASI Deepak regarding a gang which prepares forged and fake documents of various private universities of India and present these fake/forged documents to the students/beneficiaries as genuine in lieu of money.

A team led by Insp. Vinay Kumar comprising SIGautam, ASI Deepak Kumar, HCPankaj, HC Mahesh, HC Ranjeet, Ct Mukesh, Ct Sri Ram and W/CtSonu under the close supervision of ACP Yashpal Singh was constituted by DCP Satish Kumar and Joint CP S.D Mishra to nab the racketeers.

Accordingly, a raid was conducted at the office of accused persons at Prateek Apartment, PaschimVihar West, Delhi and accused Shiv Shanker and Sunil Mishra were apprehended with forged/fake documents of various universities. Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 208/23 dated 25/08/2023 u/s 420/467/468/471/120B IPC PS Crime Branch has been registered. Accused Shiv Shankar and Sunil Mishra were arrested.

RECOVERY:  Fake documents including fake degrees, mark-sheets etc. of different universities which were prepared in the back dates. , Six Mobile phones used for calling beneficiaries.,  One Laptop used for forging documents.

INTERROGATION: Accused Shiv Shankar is the mastermind and he is running this fake racket from last 5-6 years, he is previously involved in one similar type of case of PS Mianwali Nagar.He has been preparing the fake documents of Mewar University- Rajasthan, MUIT University-Noida, JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University-Rajasthan, Vinayak Missions University-Salem, MNS ITI-Haryana, Himalayan Garhwal University, Kalinga University etc. (All are private universities).

(SUBHEAD)Mr.Ravindra Singh Yadav, IPS. Special Commissioner Of Police , Crime, said, accused were offering different higher courses in the above universities like B.Sc, BBA, MBA, B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, B.Sc., BA/B.Com etc.. They were providing the above higher education documents at high prices and in the back dates. Accused Sunil Mishra is working with accused Shiv Shankar from last two years, he was working as tele-callers, receiver and delivery of fake documents, handling of beneficiary visitors. He is very close associate of accused Shiv Shankar.

PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENT OF SHIV SHANKAR:- FIR No. 37/2018 u/s 420/471/120B IPC PS Mianwali Nagar, Delhi.

Further investigation is being carried out to trace the other co accused, who are involved in printing and preparing the fake documents and beneficiary candidates. The role of various Universities is also being probed.
