On the second day of the National Media Conference at the Shantivan campus of Brahma Kumaris, the topic of peace journalism for global harmony was discussed in two sessions.
Tushar Prabhune, Asst. Resident Editor, Times of India, Ahmedabad, said that peace journalism is a new concept for us. The knowledge here and Rajyoga meditation have brought about a lot of positive changes in me. Rajyoga changes our thinking, I believe.
HOD of Journalism Department in Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Prof. Kunjan Acharya said that we need to work on how we can present a solution to peace. Earlier it was said that if the cannon could compete then publish the newspaper but now it is not so. Now if you have money, publish a newspaper and run a channel.

Lalita Sehrawat from New Delhi, said that peace and restraint are essential in journalism. Ex-Advisor of All India Radio Odisha, Prof. Chittaranjan Mishra said that Brahma Kumaris' knowledge and thinking will have to be understood and shared with the society.
Shrawan Kumar Deo, Chairperson, Federation of Nepali Journalists, said that peace journalism needs to be initiated by journalists in India as well as Nepal.
Dr. Minati Behera, Chairperson, Odisha State Commission for Women, said that today the media is in front of the society as the most powerful tool.
