CHANDIGARH CARNIVAL 2023 KICKS OFF WITH GLORY AT LEISURE VALLEY

The vibrant city of Chandigarh came alive on Friday as the much-awaited Chandigarh Carnival 2023 unfolded its grandeur at Leisure Valley.The inauguration ceremony, graced by Governor of Punjab & Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, as the Chief Guest with Guest of Honour, Member of Parliament, Smt. Kirron Kher, The administrator set the tone for the Carnival by flagging off floats, officially declaring it open.

The Chief Guest immersed themselves in the festive spirit, exploring vibrant exhibition stalls, interacting with artists from various cities, and marveling at the display of Vintage Cars in the courtyard of the Govt. Museum & Art Gallery.(SUBHEAD) 

 

The opening night witnessed live performances by the Police Band of Himachal Pradesh, known for their appearances on Sony Color's Talent Hunt program and the Indian Ideal stage. They enthralled the audience with renditions of Bollywood and Himachali songs.

Parallel to the main event, an insightful session anchored by expert Sameul John unfolded in the auditorium of the Govt. Museum & Art Centre, shedding light on the unexplored wonders of Chandigarh Wildlife. The session will continue on November 25, 2023.

Accompanying the Hon’ble Governor were Adviser to the Administrator, Shri Nitin Kumar Yadav, Mayor Chandigarh, Shri Anup Gupta, Secretary Tourism ,Director Tourism, along with other esteemed officers and dignitaries.

The evening of November 25th promises a scintillating live performance by the renowned singer Kailash Kher, followed by Punjabi singer Babbu Maan on 26th November.
