A Team of Special Cell SR led by Insp. Pawan Kumar and Insp. Satvinder supervised by ACP Ved Prakash has arrested a notorious gangster of Sandeep @ Kala Jathedi, Tinu Bhiwani and Raju Basodigang namely Sandeep @ Lath (aged 39yrs) s/o Mahavir, R/o Village Lath, District Sonipat, Haryana. Accused Sandeep @ Lath is previously involved in more than dozens heinous criminal cases in Haryana and Delhi. He has been declared proclaimed offender in six cases of Haryana and P.O. proceedingsare also going on in one case of special cell, Delhi. One semi-automatic pistol of .30 bore and 3 live cartridges were recovered from Sandeep @ Lath.
Accused Sandeep @ Lath was wanted in case FIR No. 60/2023 u/s 186/353/307 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Special Cell. Earlier accused Neeraj @ Katiya gangster of Kala Jathedi gang was arrested in this case who had disclosed that Arms recovered from him were provided by accused Sandeep @ Lath. On, 06.08.2024, specific information about the hideouts of Sandeep @ Lath in village Lakheri, Bundi, Rajasthan was received in Special Cell and accordingly, a team was sent to village Lakheri, Bundi, Rajasthan.
Later, further specific information was also received that he would come near Govt. Community Health Centre, Lakheri in the evening between 5 to 6 PM to meet his associate. Therefore, a trap was also laid around Health Centre and accused was spotted near Govt. Community Health Centre at around 5:50 PM. He was overpowered and arrested by the team of Special Cell and a semi-automatic pistol of .30 bore with 3 live cartridges was recovered from his house situated in village Lath, Sonipat, Haryana.

Arrested gangster is an active associate of Sandeep @ Kala Jathedi, Tinu Bhiwani and Raju Basodi gang. Accused Sandeep @ Lath is previously involved in 18 criminal cases including 4 of murder, 6 of attempt to murder and others of extortion, robbery, kidnapping for ransom, hurt, assault, threatening, riot, theft, arms act etc. in Delhi and Haryana. Accused Sandeep @ Lath has been absconding and has not been appearing in various courts in many pending trial cases. He has been declared proclaimed offender in six cases of Haryana and PO proceedings are also going on in a case of Special Cell.

Commissioner of Police Special Cell, SR: DelhiFirst time, he went to jail in the year 2011 in an attempt to murder case where he met Deepak @ Lota of village Nhara, Sonipat, Haryana and Sonu Kera gang members of Sanddep @ Kala Jathedi. When, he came out of jail in the year 2012, he contacted Deepak @ Lota and started committing crime at the behest of Sandeep @ Kala Jathedi gang. On 02.11.2012, he along with Deepak @ Lota murdered one Vinod, brother-in-law of his maternal uncle, due to some rivalry with his maternal uncle.
On 08.02.2013, he along with Deepak @ Lota and Naresh Sethi brutally killed one Gajraj near Mahlan Cricket Academy, Yadav colony, Jhajjar, HR. He along with his associates also committed carjacking at gun point.
In 2017, he along with his associates killedone 47-year-old ex-serviceman in village Barauna at the behest of Sandeep @ Kala Jathedi. They pumped 12 bullets in deceased and fled the spot. He along with his associates namely Raju Basodi, Deepak tinu, Sandeep @ Kala Jathedi, Sampat Nehra, AkshayPalra, Deepak Totla and Anil Leela was arrested in this case. He was evading court proceedings in many cases and was declared Proclaimed Offender in six cases. Further investigation of the present case is in progress.
