CHANDIGARH NCC GROUP SECURES TOP POSITION IN PUNJAB, HARYANA, HIMACHAL PRADESH & CHANDIGARH REGION

The NCC Group Chandigarh has emerged as the top-performing group among eight NCC Groups under the NCC Directorate Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & Chandigarh (PHHP&C) for the year 2024-2025. This achievement is a testament to the group's exceptional performance throughout the training year.

The NCC Directorate PHHP&C conducted various competitions among the eight groups, with each team comprising 85 NCC Cadets from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and UT Chandigarh. The competitions were held prior to the Republic Day Camp in New Delhi. In addition to the competitions, the directorate also evaluated the administrative functioning of the eight groups based on predetermined parameters.

(SUBHEAD)Major General JS Cheema, Additional Director General (ADG), NCC Directorate, PHHP&C congratulated the cadets on their achievement, stating that the NCC identifies and nurtures raw talent from various institutions, providing training and grooming through different programmes to achieve excellence in competitions at the directorate level.

Brigadier VS Chauhan, Group Commander, NCC Group Chandigarh received the Championship trophy from the ADG Maj Gen JS Cheema, at a ceremony held at NCC Academy, Ropar. Brig Chauhan motivated the cadets to continue striving for excellence in all walks of life and contribute to making NCC Group Chandigarh a model NCC Group.
