CONGRESS MLA'S SHOULD RAISE PUBLIC ISSUES VIGOROUSLY : SELJA

Before the assembly session on Monday, Congress State President Kumari Selja had invited all the newly elected MLAs of the party for the lunch. The lunch was held at the Mount View Hotel in Chandigarh.

During this, Selja congratulated all the MLAs on their victory. She also called upon the legislators to loudly raise public interest issues from the road to the assembly and expose the government's anti-people policies and failures in front of the public.

Congress Legislature Party leader and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda also congratulated the MLAs on their victory. He said that the people of the state have put their stamp on the policies of the Congress and rejected the hollow claims of the BJP. He appealed to the MLAs to strongly raise public issues and said that in the assembly elections, the people have given a mandate against the BJP government.

  She said that the MLAs should stay connected with the people in their respective constituencies and be a part of their grief. We have to live up to the expectations the people have shown in the Congress party.

Selja appealed to the MLAs to bring more and more people to Congress in order to strengthen it. and to make them aware of party's ideology.

She said that the people have rejected the BJP in this election. The BJP had tried to mislead the people of the state through campaigning and other means, but the public recognized their lies. This is the reason that the BJP, which had won 79 out of the 90 assembly constituencies in the Lok Sabha elections, struggled for a majority. She goes on saying that if BJP have not gotten the support of artificial surveys, then it would have been wiped out from the state.

Selja said that this government has started taking anti-people decisions as soon as it comes, the absence of farmers purchasing crops is a recent example.

All the newly elected MLAs of the Congress assured that while they will reach out to the people on the policies of the Congress, on the other hand, they will leave no stone unturned to make the government work for the people.

Celebrated birthday of party MLA Amit Sihag

During this, the MLAs celebrated the birthday of young party MLA Amit Sihag from Dabwali by cutting a cake and Wishing him all the best for his long life.
