DELHI POLICE ARRESTED PUNJAB BASED AGENT ARRANGED ILLEGAL ENTRY TO GERMANY VIA DONKEY ROUTE.

RELENTLESS EFFORTS OF IGI AIRPORT TEAM’S LED TO ARREST OF ONE PUNJAB BASED AGENT, ARRANGED JOURNEY OF THE PAX TO SERBIA., PAX DEPORTED FROM GERMANY., WENT TO SERBIA IN NOVEMBER 2023 ON TOURIST VISA.,  MADE ILLEGAL ENTRY IN GERMANY THROUGH SERBIA,  PAX STAYED IN REFUGEE CAMP IN GERMANY WITH FALSE CREDENTIALS., FALSE CREDENTAILS WERE SUBMIITED IN THE APPREHENSION OF NOT TO BE BLACKLISTED, SOUGHT ASYLUM THERE BUT DENIED & DEPORTED TO INDIA.

Staff of PS IGI Airport arrested one fraudster agent namely Sandeep Kumar S/o Sukhdev Ram R/o:- VPO-Massingam, PS-Jhulka, Patiala, Punjab Age 44 Yrs in FIR NO 216/2024 U/S 419/420/468/471 IPC, Dated 20.03.2024 PS IGI Airport, New Delhi. They were involved in a syndicate who used to allure gullible passengers in the name of sending them abroad on someone else’s IDs. 

The facts of the case are that on 20-03-2024, one male Indian pax namely Harvinder Singh S/o Kashmir Singh R/o Ramana Ramani, Tehsil-Nigdu, Karnal, Haryana Age 36 yrs arrived at IGI Airport, Delhi from Germany as deportee with emergency certificate. During scrutiny of his credentials and travel documents, it was revealed that the pax departed from IGI Airport on the strength of his passport on 28-11-23 to Serbia for tourism purpose and did not return since then.

The details provided in the Emergency certificate by the pax did not match with the actual credentials as father’s & mother’s name and addresses were found different. As the pax cheated Indian Immigration by travelling on the details of some other passenger in the same name, a case FIR NO 216/2024 U/S 419/420/468/471 IPC, Dated 20.03.2024 PS IGI Airport, New Delhi was registered accordingly and investigation of the case was taken up.

Team & Investigation:-

During course of investigation of the case, accused pax Harvinder Singh was interrogated and arrested in the case. On interrogation, he disclosed that he wanted to go abroad for better livelihood. So, he came in a contact with one agent namely Sandeep who belongs to his village. The agent promised to arrange his journey to Germany via Serbia in the lieu of Rs 12 lakhs. As per deal, agent Sandeep arranged his journey to Serbia on tourist Visa and later sent him to Germany via donkey route with the help of his associates. Thereafter, on the directions of the agent, he destroyed his passport and stayed in a refugee camp after submitting false credentials of him. Thereafter, he started working there in restaurants and south Asylum. Later, his request for Asylum was declined and he was deported back to India.

Usha Rangnani, IPS, DCP, IGI Airport, said,  during course of further investigation, when available mobile number of agents were called, it were found switched off and it was revealed that the said number was issued on a false ID. On the instance of accused paX, the team raided at the possible hideouts of the agent Sandeep but he was remained at large.Thereafter, human intelligence was gathered and on the basis of local intelligence and technical surveillance coupled with sincere and dedicated efforts, accused agent Sandeep Kumar S/o Sukhdev Ram R/o:- VPO-Massingam, PS-Jhulka, Patiala, Punjab Age 44 Yrs was nabbed from one of his hideouts in Patiala, Punjab and arrested in the case.

A dedicated team led by Inspr. Vijender Rana, SHO/IGI Airport, comprising of SI Manoj and Ct. Pankaj was constituted under the close supervision of ACP/IGI Airport and overall supervision of the undersigned. The team was briefed properly and tasked to nab the accused agent at the earliest.

On sustained interrogation, he confessed his guilt and revealed that he has studied upto 10th class and is working as a driver. During his work, he came in contact with some other travel agents and with their help, he started duping people on the pretext of sending them abroad. In the present case, the pax who belongs to his village, approached him for sending abroad.

He promised his journey to Germany in the lieu of Rs 12 lakhs. As per deal, he arranged the journey of the pax to Serbia on tourist Visa. Thereafter, with the help of his associates, he arranged illegal entry of the pax in Germany via donkey route. The accused further disclosed that the pax had destroyed his passport as per their plan and started living in refugee camp after submitting false credentials. After that, he sought Asylum there but it was denied and he was deported back to India. The accused further confessed that the pax was asked to change his credentials in the apprehension of not to be black listed in that country. He revealed that he along with his associates started cheating people in order to earn quick money.

Investigation of the case is in progress to unearth the involvement of other associates and to scrutinize bank accounts of the accused persons and to trace his possible involvement in other similar complaints/cases also.

Details of Accused Person:- Sandeep Kumar S/o Sukhdev Ram R/o:- VPO-Massingam, PS-Jhulka, Patiala, Punjab Age 44 Yrs.

Further investigation of the case is in progress.

ADVISE: All passengers are requested to approach authorized agencies to procure their documentation for going abroad and do not fall in the trap of fraudulent agents who offer the journey abroad at cheaper rates.
