MORNING CLUB CELEBRATES 18TH FOUNDATION DAY

The Morning Club, one of the prime contributors in promotion of Yoga in Abohar, celebrated its 18th foundation day at Nehru Park. Chairman Anil Sethi and young trainer Manik Demla said that Yoga session is a physical, mental and spiritual practice which originated in ancient India.

Demla also guides the participants in performing dance steps to make the exercise more effective for health. Mayor Vimal Thatai, who paddles about 6-km cycles each morning, assured all possible help to make Yoga a part of life in each family. It is a matter of pride that students of local colleges had won in most of the yoga competitions at the inter college events organised by the Panjab University, the Mayor added.

The International Day of Yoga is to be celebrated across the world on June 21, the day is commemorated following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. NGOs have geared up preparations for the events. Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann’s hoardings have been fixed on electricity poles giving people a call to practice Yoga each day.
