Enraged over delay in setting up of PGI Satellite Centre, the residents of this border town under the banner of Shaheed-e-Watan Youth Organization and other NGOs, today performed a “Sarv Dharam Ardas” at the proposed site of the PGI Satellite Centre.
In this programme, first a “ hawan” was performed by a “Pandit Ji” which was followed by “”Dua” (Prayer) by a “Moulavi”. Later, “Bandagi” (prayers) was made by a Priest and later in the end “path” of “Chaopai Sahab” and “Anand Sahib” were done by a “Granthi”.
(MOREPIC1)(MOREPIC2)((SUBHEAD) Gurbhej Singh Tibbi, President Shaheed-e-Watan Youth Organization said that these prayers were done to “make God happy” so that the work of PGI Satellite Centre could start soon. “The residents of this border town now have started believing that “God” was not happy with them due to which there was a delay in the construction of PGI Satellite Centre. We have done “Sarv Dharam” prayers today and now we will intensify the protest for construction of PGI Satellite centre”, said Tibbi adding that a delegation of local residents will meet the DC Ferozepur and will handover a memorandum to him in the name of PM Narendra Modi”, said Tibbi.
“We will launch a stir if the work of PGI Satellite centre got more delayed”, said Tibbi.
Earlier, on February 26, the residents of this border town had carried out a candle march to express their resentment over inordinate delay in setting up of satellite centre.
