Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amandeep Singh Goldy Musafir from Balluana held a meeting with officials of Water Supply and Sanitation Department here. The meeting was attended by SE Jasjit Singh Gill, Executive Engineer Amardeep Singh Bhattal, SDOs Ved Prakash and Subhash Chander and Social Wing Officer Sukhjinder Singh Dhillon besides Jyoti Prakash Vice Chairman Market Committee.
During the meeting the officials briefed the MLA about the supply from water works in the villages of Balluana constituency and the current situation. Musafir said that the Punjab government was committed to provide clean drinking water to the people of every household. He said that the promises made to the people need to be fulfilled.
He also directed the department to ensure cleanliness of all the water works. He said that clean drinking water would be provided in every village of Balluana constituency for which a water surface project was being set up at Patrewala village. This will ensure clean canal water supply to 122 villages and 15 dhanis (cluster of houses). He said that water tanks would be installed in the villages where waterworks had not been constructed and pipelines for water supply would also be laid in the villages.
