The team of Cyber Police Station- South District, has done commendable work by arresting 02 Gamblers namely Aneesh Aggarwal and Pawan Kumar in case FIR No.092/2022, dated 19/10/2022, U/s 3/4 Delhi Public Gambling Act, Cyber Police Station South District, Saket Delhi. Upon their instance, 08 Smart Mobile Phones, 01 Laptop, Wi-Fi Modem, Mobile Network Router, and Stake Money of Rs. 51,000/- have been recovered.
Mr. Chandan Chowdhary, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South District, said, to curb organized Crime/Gambling in South District area, the team of Cyber Police Station was deployed at the vulnerable areas for prevention and detection. Accordingly, the staff initiated sincere efforts by sensitizing local informers and collecting human intelligence.
On Oct.20, a credible piece of information was received that some persons were organizing a Gambling Racket in IGNOU Road, Saidulajab, New Delhi. On this information, a team comprising SI Sanjay Singh, HC Nitesh Kumar, HC Pardeep Kumar, HC Tarun Kumar, HC Dharmender Kumar, HC Rajkumar, HC Sandeep Kumar, HC Parveen Kumar, W/HC Seema, W/HC Poonam led by Inspr. Shiv Kumar Cyber Police Station under supervision of Sh. Rajesh Kumar, ACP/OPS./South was formed to bust the Gambling Racket.(SUBHEAD)
Accordingly, the information was further developed. During operation, the team conducted a raid on 2nd Floor of the House, Main IGNOU Road, Saidullajab and apprehended 02 persons who were found to be indulged in Online Gambling. Upon their instances, 08 Smart Mobile Phones, 01 Laptop, 01 Wi-Fi Router, 01 Mobile Network Enhancer Router & stake money Cash Rs. 51,000/- recovered from the spot. Later on, they were identified as namely (1) Aneesh Aggarwal and (2) Pawan Kumar. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 092/2022, dated 19.10.2022, U/s 3/4, Delhi Public Gambling Act was registered at Cyber Police Station South District, Saket and investigation was taken up. Both accused persons have been arrested and recovered articles were seized.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS ARRESTED:- Aneesh Aggarwal R/o Ground Floor, PVR Saket, New Delhi. Age 39 years. and Pawan Kumar R/o Saidullajab, IGNOU Road, New Delhi. Age 24 years.
